We closed out our summer field trips with an unforgettable visit to Wolf Trap!

Our students had the opportunity to experience Indigenous ACE and the Anoli Dancers, who honored and shared the rich traditions of the Indigenous peoples of North America through vibrant songs, dances, and stories.

From the flowing movements of the fancy shawl dance to the rhythmic sounds of the jingle dress and the mesmerizing hoop dancing, our group learned about the history, cultural meaning, and artistry behind each style. The performers also shared insights into tribal wear, storytelling, and the deep connection between Indigenous traditions and the natural world.

It was a beautiful celebration of culture and history — and an inspiring way to wrap up our summer adventures!

A big thank you to Wolf Trap for welcoming the SED Center this summer. We can’t wait to visit again and create more wonderful memories!

¡Esperamos volver pronto y seguir creando momentos maravillosos!
