Volunteers act as teacher's aides for our English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes. Through volunteer participation in small group work, students receive more interaction and exposure to native speakers of English. Knowledge of Spanish is not required to volunteer with this program. We seek volunteers who are committed and have shown a responsible track record in school or in previous jobs. Experience with ESOL instruction is not a requirement, as we provide a series of orientations and workshops to give volunteers the necessary skills to perform their jobs as ESOL teacher's aides.
