Staff at OSSE after receiving their CLASS certification.
Saturday May 17th, marked another great accomplishment for the SED Center staff at the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE). From experts at Teachstone, our staff learned about CLASS— the infant/toddler classroom assessment scoring system as an observational tool in the classroom. This tool enables one to develop an effective classroom interaction among teachers and infants as well as build a nurturing and responsive environment between teachers and students. These just serve as a few examples of the various topics touched on during the certification. As one of the first centers to receive the Introduction to CLASS Infants and Toddlers, the SED Center continues its standard to develop our professional capacities in order to better serve our community. We thank OSSE and Teachstone for this great opportunity and congratulate our staff on their initiative to further their education for the benefit of those we serve.
