Welcome!

For over 50 years, the SED Center has provided bilingual education programs for children ages 3 months to 4 years, their families, and adults in the Washington metropolitan area. We help build the knowledge, skills, and confidence necessary for our families to navigate an increasingly multilingual, multicultural society. ​

Diana Cárdenas Aguiñaga: Instructora  de desarrollo de lenguaje para el otoño 2014 en el SED Center. 

SED Center welcomes Miss Diana C. Aguiñaga from the Mexico 100 Program hosted by The Washington Center. Through this program, college students from Mexico study abroad and learn the intricacies of non-profit, private, and public organizations while enhancing their educational careers.  Miss Aguiñaga, leading the Language Development Program at the SED Center, resides in Michoacan, Mexico, studies languages at Universidad Autonoma del Estado de Mexico and has received training on how to incorporate emotional intelligence and Neuro Linguistic Programming into her teaching. Miss Aguiñaga will incorporate her professional experience into her lessons at the SED Center. She will enhance vocabulary, develop socio-emotional competence through language, and strengthen our bilingual curriculum through lessons in English and Spanish. We wish her the best in her time here at the SED Center and thank the Washington Center for the opportunity to host Miss Aguiñaga. Welcome Diana! 

SED Center da la bienvenida a la Señorita Diana C. Aguiñaga estudiante del programa de México 100 organizado por el Washington Center. A través de este programa, estudiantes Mexicanos estudian en el extranjero y aprenden sobre organizaciones sin fines de lucro, privadas, y públicas. Diana reside en Michoacán, México, estudia lenguajes en la Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México y ha recibido formación sobre cómo incorporar la inteligencia emocional y programación neuro-lingüística en su enseñanza. La Señorita Aguiñaga incorporara su experiencia profesional al programa de desarrollo de lenguaje para nuestros estudiantes. Ella ampliara el vocabulario de nuestros pequeños/as, desarrollara habilidades socio-emocionales, y fortalecerá nuestro currículo bilingüe a través de clases en inglés y español. Le deseamos lo mejor a Diana en su tiempo aquí en el SED Center y también le damos las gracias al Washington Center por la oportunidad de tener a la Señorita Aguiñaga con nosotros. ¡Bienvenida Diana!
