Welcome!

For over 50 years, the SED Center has provided bilingual education programs for children ages 3 months to 4 years, their families, and adults in the Washington metropolitan area. We help build the knowledge, skills, and confidence necessary for our families to navigate an increasingly multilingual, multicultural society.

The 25th anniversary celebration of The Economic Club of Washington D.C marked a joyous day for both the club and non-profits around the area. The club reports that 10 non-profits "with a primary mission of preparing underserved youth for success in school, the workforce, and life" qualified for this grant.

SED Center, one of the recipients, thanks The Economic Club of Washington D.C for their generosity. We exalt their initiative to aid community organizations promoting social change in the Washington D.C., metropolitan area.

For over 40 years, the SED Center has dedicated itself to pioneering educational programs which prepare people of all ages, regardless of social class or previous educational experience, to move effectively across the permeable boundaries of our multilingual, multicultural world. Through the generosity of organizations such as The Economic Club of Washington D.C, donors, and the community, SED strengthens its mission to serve and bring about change in our community. Thank you!

YOU, can also make a change. If you are interested in volunteering with the SED Center, please email our Volunteer Program Director Doris Ruano at dorisruano@sedcenter.org.
